Necessity to Construct New Temples and Ashrams

  1. Temples and Ashrams play a very important role in imparting spiritual education to the society at large. The temples and Ashrams should be remodeled and upgraded according to the needs of the present generation.
  2. When our old temples and Ashrams were constructed, the population was very less and therefore the said temples, Ashrams and Math were constructed keeping in mind the needs of a very small population.
  3. According to Sanatanam Sanstha, looking to the present needs of the followers of Sanatan Dharm, there should be one temple or Ashram at the population of 500 to 1000 families following Sanatan Dharm. If such temples or Ashrams are constructed, the followers of Sanatan Dharm will get smooth opportunity to practice the necessary rituals of Sanatan Dharm including combined chanting of Om, combined prayer, combined practice of meditation and performing Yagya as prescribed in Bhagwadgeeta.
  4. The existing ancient temples have become inadequate in terms of area and facility to accommodate the followers of Sanatan Dharm and therefore construction of new temples and Ashrams keeping in mind the modern-day needs has become necessary.

Contribution for Construction of Temples and Ashrams

  1. For constructing a temple or Ashram in a particular area, the organizers should form a trust or society involving every follower of Sanatan Dharm from that area and take contribution from every rich, middle or poor class, even if he contributes Rs. 1 or a contribution in any other form. This ensures that every person feels connected and has contributed towards the construction, and can participate in activities with dignity and right.
  2. The organizers must convey to the followers of Sanatan Dharm of the area that the temple or Ashram equally belongs to all of them and they have the right to use and participate in all activities with dignity.
  3. This should include ideal models of Temples and Ashrams, the manner in which it should be designed and constructed with architectural models, area description, and proper planning. It must also be ensured that for every 500 to 1,000 families, there should be one Sanatan Temple.
